Charging The Battery

Your ToastyBody Women's Heated Gilet requires a USB power bank to operate. Please follow the guidance below depending on whether you purchased a ToastyBody Power Bank or are using your own.

If You Purchased a ToastyBody Power Bank

  1. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the power bank.
  2. Plug the other end into a wall adapter, laptop, or USB port.
  3. The LED indicators will show charging progress.
  4. Charging is complete when all LEDs remain solid.

Note: If you ordered one of our ToastyBody Power Banks, it will be shipped separately and arrive after your heated clothing. Please do not panic if you’ve not received it yet.

If You’re Using Your Own Power Bank

  • Output: must be 5V/2.4A minimum.
  • Capacity: 5,000mAh or higher recommended for several hours of use.
  • Connection: USB-A or USB-C (via included garment cable).
  • Performance may vary depending on brand and capacity.
  • For safety, only use CE/FCC-certified power banks.

For best performance and safety, we recommend official ToastyBody power banks.

Powering On & Heat Settings

Follow these steps to switch on your ToastyBody Women's Heated Gilet and adjust the temperature.

  1. Connect your charged power bank to the cable inside the gilet pocket.
  2. Press and hold the chest power button for 3 seconds to switch on.
  3. Tap the button once to cycle through the heat levels (Low, Medium, High).
  4. Press and hold for 3 seconds to power off.

Care & Maintenance

With proper care, your ToastyBody Women's Heated Gilet will deliver reliable warmth season after season.

Washing Instructions

  • Always remove the power bank and disconnect all cables before washing.
  • Machine wash at 30°C (cold) on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild detergent. Do not bleach.
  • Air dry only.
  • Do not iron or dry clean.

Storage Instructions

  • Ensure garment and battery are completely dry before storing.
  • Store garment in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Disconnect and store the power bank separately.
  • For seasonal storage, charge the power bank to ~50% and top up every 3 months.

Note: Failure to follow care instructions may damage the heating system and void warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

  1. Cause: Garment not switched on
    Solution: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
  2. Cause: Power bank not switched on
    Solution: Press the power bank button to activate output.
  3. Cause: Battery in wrong pocket/port
    Solution: Ensure the battery is connected to the USB in the pocket.
  4. Cause: Battery not connected properly
    Solution: Ensure cable is firmly plugged into battery and garment.
  5. Cause: Battery empty/dead
    Solution: Fully recharge before use.
  6. Cause: Cable loose/damaged
    Solution: Try another cable if available.
  7. Cause: Faulty heating panel
    Solution: Contact support for replacement.
Power Button Not Lighting Often fixed by a full 3-second press
  1. Cause: Button not held long enough
    Solution: Press and hold for 3 full seconds.
  2. Cause: Battery flat
    Solution: Recharge battery fully.
  3. Cause: Connection issue
    Solution: Reconnect cable, check port for debris.
  4. Cause: Faulty power button
    Solution: Contact support if still not working.
Uneven or Weak Heating Fit, folds, battery, or cold weather
  1. Cause: Garment folded/creased
    Solution: Lay garment flat and smooth folds.
  2. Cause: Heating panel not contacting body
    Solution: Adjust garment for a snug fit.
  3. Cause: Battery low
    Solution: Recharge battery.
  4. Cause: Outer layers too thick
    Solution: Use medium/high settings with thick coats.
  5. Cause: Extreme cold conditions
    Solution: Keep the battery warm in an inner pocket.
Battery Not Charging Usually cable, adapter, or port cleanliness
  1. Cause: Faulty/incompatible charging cable
    Solution: Try another USB cable or adapter.
  2. Cause: Dust/debris in port
    Solution: Clean port carefully before charging.
  3. Cause: Battery end-of-life
    Solution: Contact support for replacement.
Battery Drains Too Quickly Heat level and cold weather affect runtime
  1. Cause: Using high heat continuously
    Solution: Switch to medium/low for longer runtime.
  2. Cause: Battery not fully charged
    Solution: Charge to 100% before use.
  3. Cause: Cold weather
    Solution: Keep battery in inner pocket to preserve performance.
Flashing Lights / Unusual Behaviour May indicate safety cut-off or system fault
  1. Cause: Safety cut-off triggered
    Solution: Disconnect battery, let it cool for 15 minutes, then reconnect.
  2. Cause: Fault detected
    Solution: If problem continues, contact support.
