  • Not recommended for children, infants, or pets.

Charging The Battery

Your ToastyBody Heated Scarf is powered by a USB power bank (sold separately). You may use an official ToastyBody Power Bank or a compatible third-party model.

If You Purchased a ToastyBody Power Bank

  1. Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the power bank.
  2. Plug the other end into a wall adapter, laptop, or USB port.
  3. The LED indicators will show charging progress.
  4. Charging is complete when all LEDs remain solid.

Note: ToastyBody Power Banks are shipped separately and may arrive after your heated scarf. Please do not panic if your scarf arrives first.

If You’re Using Your Own Power Bank

  • Output: must be 5V/2.4A minimum.
  • Capacity: 5,000mAh or higher recommended for several hours of use.
  • Connection: USB-A port (compatible with the scarf’s built-in cable).
  • Performance may vary depending on brand and capacity.
  • For safety, only use CE/FCC-certified power banks.

For best performance and safety, we recommend official ToastyBody Power Banks.

Powering On & Heat Settings

Follow these steps to switch on your ToastyBody Heated Scarf. The scarf uses a single optimised heat profile for steady, reliable warmth.

  1. Connect your charged power bank to the built-in USB cable inside the battery pocket.
  2. Press and hold the power button on the scarf for 3 seconds to switch on.
  3. The LED will glow white while heating is active.
  4. Press and hold the button again for 3 seconds to power off.

Runtime will vary depending on power bank capacity and outdoor conditions.

Care & Maintenance

With proper care, your ToastyBody Heated Scarf will deliver reliable comfort and warmth season after season.

Washing Instructions

  • Always remove the power bank and disconnect all cables before cleaning.
  • Do not machine wash. Gently hand wash or spot clean only.
  • Use cold water and a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics.
  • After washing, gently press out excess water — do not wring or twist the scarf.
  • Lay flat to air dry, away from direct heat or sunlight.
  • Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

Storage Instructions

  • Ensure the scarf and battery are completely dry before storing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or moisture.
  • Disconnect and store the power bank separately when not in use.
  • For seasonal storage, charge the power bank to ~50% and top up every 3 months.

Note: Failure to follow care instructions may damage the faux fur material or heating system and void warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Scarf Not Heating Check power, connections, or battery level
  1. Cause: Scarf not switched on
    Solution: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LED lights.
  2. Cause: Power bank not activated
    Solution: Press the button on the power bank to enable output.
  3. Cause: Loose connection
    Solution: Ensure the USB cable is firmly connected between scarf and power bank.
  4. Cause: Battery empty
    Solution: Recharge the power bank fully before use.
  5. Cause: Faulty heating element
    Solution: Contact ToastyBody support for replacement.
Power Button Not Lighting LED should glow to indicate heat level
  1. Cause: Button not held long enough
    Solution: Press and hold for 3 seconds until LED lights.
  2. Cause: Flat battery
    Solution: Recharge the power bank fully.
  3. Cause: Loose cable
    Solution: Reconnect the USB cable securely.
  4. Cause: Faulty button
    Solution: Contact support if LED never lights.
Weak or Uneven Heat May be caused by battery or scarf position
  1. Cause: Power bank running low
    Solution: Recharge or replace with a fully charged bank.
  2. Cause: Scarf not wrapped correctly
    Solution: Ensure heating zone rests against the back of the neck.
  3. Cause: Very cold environment
    Solution: Use high setting and keep power bank in an inner pocket.
Battery Not Charging Cable, adapter, or port issue
  1. Cause: Faulty charging cable
    Solution: Try another USB cable or adapter.
  2. Cause: Dust or debris in port
    Solution: Clean the charging port gently before use.
  3. Cause: Battery at end of life
    Solution: Replace with a new ToastyBody power bank.
Battery Drains Too Quickly Higher heat levels reduce runtime
  1. Cause: High heat level used continuously
    Solution: Switch to low/medium for longer runtime.
  2. Cause: Battery not fully charged
    Solution: Fully recharge before use.
  3. Cause: Cold weather reduces battery efficiency
    Solution: Keep battery in an inner pocket to maintain performance.
Flashing Lights / Unusual Behaviour May indicate safety cut-off or system fault
  1. Cause: Safety cut-off triggered
    Solution: Disconnect battery, let cool for 15 minutes, then reconnect.
  2. Cause: Fault detected
    Solution: Contact ToastyBody support if issue persists.
